Welcome to the web site supported by members of the New Almaden Quicksilver Park Association. The Almaden Quicksilver County Park is available for hikers, equestrians and bikers to enjoy. The Quicksilver Museum displays life of miners in the mining industry, Ohlone Indians and residents of New Almaden. Founded in 1852 to mine quicksilver, most of New Almaden is now part of the National Historic Register. Many events are available in Almaden Quicksilver County Park and in New Almaden. Current news concerning the Almaden Quicksilver County Park, the Quicksilver Museum and the New Almaden community. Financially help the New Almaden Quicksilver Park Association.  Receive the NAQCPA Newsletter. Purchase books and other items that increase our knowledge of the Almaden Quicksilver Park and New Almaden. Many opportunities exist to clear trails in the park and to support the museum. Special projects need our support.  Donations are welcome. Have a question or comment?
